Vindobona Express

From Berlin to Prague, no tickets needed

Two stops of the train headed to  Balta to Dunaji are key for you – Berlin and Prague. Two metropoles, each with many similar signes, each at the same time different and still do connected. The traditional connection between Czech and Germany was even for us an inspiration for the project „Vindobona Express / From Berlin to Prague, no tickets needed“. And truly, tickets won't be needed... theatre in the street is for everyone.

The special project Mezinárodní festival (International festival) of street theatre Za dveřmi Vindobona Express set its goal to present German street theatre focused of families and kinds. That will take place in Prague on Václavském náměstí 18. and 19. of July and following the project will move on the 20th of July to its sister festival Živá ulice in Plzen. We believe that this neglected genre has its own national specifities and so, as we did the preceding years bringing numerous and elaborate groups like antagon theaterAKTion (2012), this year we want to concentrate on activity for kids and their parents and konfront it with Czech traditional street theatre focused on activities for families.

He fully devotes himself to street theatre from the year 2008, during which he uses his juggling talent to warm up theatre emersion. In  Matthiase Romira creation it's important to keep live contact with the audience, which he includes in his performances and so creates a non-recurring event, no two shows are the same.
